Chapter Three: A Digression on the Subject of Digressions and Hobby Horses

You may have noticed that this story has a bit of a digressive style. That’s because I speak almost entirely in digressions, well, not digressions exactly. If I am telling a story that contains an idea or a point that I fear might be missed or incompletely grasped, I stop and tell an illustrative tale, often also about my own life, illustrating that point. Sometimes this process iterates uncontrollably and it takes hours or even months for me to get back to the story I was originally telling or the point I was originally making.
